Labor Relations, Manager – EMEA (Works Councils)

Position Summary
The Labor Relations Manager EMEA supports the Director Labor Relations in managing the operational execution of labor relations activities across Europe. This role coordinates works council consultations maintains governance processes manages documentation and partners with HR Legal and business stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant labor relations activities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and experienced working in a complex multinational environment where confidentiality project management and stakeholder coordination are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Works Council Coordination
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics for European and country-level works council consultations.
- Prepare consultation materials agendas presentations and supporting documentation.
- Track consultation timelines and statutory deadlines.
- Coordinate meeting schedules across multiple countries and time zones.
- Maintain documentation of consultation outcomes and required follow-up actions.
Program & Project Management
- Support labor relations initiatives associated with organizational changes restructures acquisitions and workforce planning.
- Develop and maintain project plans for labor relations activities.
- Monitor milestones risks and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional action items with HR Legal Communications and business leaders.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain labor relations governance documentation templates and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure consultation records are complete and stored appropriately.
- Monitor compliance with internal labor relations processes.
- Assist with audit requests and documentation reviews.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain labor relations dashboards and trackers.
- Prepare reports on consultation activity labor risks and project status.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
- Support executive reporting and presentation development.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as a central point of coordination between the Labor Relations team HR Business Partners Employment Legal and regional stakeholders.
- Coordinate information requests from country HR teams.
- Facilitate communication between internal partners during consultation processes.
- Build collaborative relationships across functions.
Knowledge Management
- Maintain labor relations playbooks templates and process documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Organize training materials and internal resource libraries.
- Track changes to country-specific consultation requirements.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualification:
- 7 years of experience supporting HR Employee Relations Legal Operations or project management.
- 4 years experience supporting European works councils or labor relations programs.
- Fluency in German and English
Preferred Qualification :
- Familiarity with European employment law or information and consultation processes.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Fluency in one or more European languages.
- Experience coordinating complex cross-functional projects.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word) and collaboration tools.
