Internship Praxissemester Project Engineering Automation and Project Planning

This Internship sits at the intersection of technical sales support and project planning. You will be learn to follow up on leads from the CRM system engaging with potential clients to understand their requirements and helping shape project scopes and plans. Youll collaborate closely with both the sales and project execution teams to ensure successful handover and delivery readiness and support automation projects from concept to proposal.

This isnt the sort of work placement where you just stand around watching. Youll be actively involved from the very first steps right through to being fully integrated into client projects. But dont worry. Youll have mentors to support you and will learn what to do step by step

What you can see and do
Follow up on presales leads and opportunities via CRM
Engage with potential clients to clarify technical needs propose tailored solutions
Translate customer needs into technical documentation and project specifications.
Support technical proposals preliminary designs and feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with internal departments (sales engineering procurement) to develop project scope timelines and cost estimates.
Create and maintain project plans schedules and risk assessments to support early-stage planning.
Support client meetings presentations and clarification sessions during the proposal phase.
Transition of projects from presales to execution with clearly defined deliverables and responsibilities.

Advanced engineering studies (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field).
Initial experience in project management principles and tools (e.g. MS Project Excel Gantt charts).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (Company language is English) german and/or mandarin knowledge very welcome

EP Equipment offers you direct access to the decision-makers: to the European management team the factory in China technical specialists dealers and customers. You will work as part of an international team at our head office in Cologne-Mülheim as well as on ongoing customer projects across Europe.
Youll have the opportunity to help develop the practical project standards on which the team will rely as we transition from more repeatable X-Pace implementations to increasingly complex Intelligent Product solutions.
There is the opportunity to write a Masters thesis and there is also the possibility of being offered a position.
