Internship Medical Engineering & Surgical Navigation 6 months | Start Spring 2027

Join Strykers Research and Development team and contribute to technologies that support the future of neurosurgical navigation. During this six-month Medical Engineering Internship you will explore how software hardware data and tracking technologies come together in medical devices used in operating rooms worldwide. You will gain hands-on experience in a MedTech internship environment strengthen your technical skills and work on meaningful projects that connect innovation with real-world healthcare impact. This student internship in Germany is designed to help you build practical expertise take ownership of defined tasks and grow your career in medical technology.

• Support the development of new tracking technologies for surgical navigation systems.

• Contribute to evaluation concepts that combine software hardware and technical data.

• Conduct research on medical engineering surgical navigation and tracking technologies.

• Analyze technical data to support technology development and innovation activities.

• Collaborate with an international team and contribute ideas for future medical device concepts.

• Enrollment in a Masters degree in biomedical engineering medical engineering electrical engineering computer science mechatronics information technology natural sciences or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of data processing image processing electronics or software development.

• Experience with MATLAB or Python; knowledge of C C or similar programming languages is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with an interest in innovative medical technologies and complex hardware and software systems

• Good English language skills minimum B2.

• Paid six-month full-time internship (voluntary internship alongside studies mandatory internship or a combination of both possible)

• Start date: March or April 2027
