Job Summary

Our Offer

According to UNHCR around 118 million people worldwide are currently forcibly displaced (Global Trends Report June 2026). Protecting refugees and creating prospects for them is a particularly important humanitarian and development policy task for the international community. At the same time funding for humanitarian refugee assistance has deteriorated significantly since 2025 and cuts are continuing. This makes the shift from parallel humanitarian systems towards integrated state services for refugees an increasingly urgent question. The Refugee Inclusion Accelerator (RISE) Global Programme commissioned by BMZ and implemented by GIZ aims to strategically support the integration of refugees into national systems in the areas of education social protection and the economy within the framework of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus. This is achieved through advisory services for national governments as well as through innovation labs and learning processes that jointly develop tailored approaches for refugee inclusion and the resilience of host communities in displacement this way the programme benefits refugees host communities and governments alike.
