As a trusted business partner to Global Procurement you will provide financial insights that support sourcing decisions cost down initiatives and supplier strategies. Working closely with Procurement Operations Project teams and Finance colleagues globally you will help translate procurement performance into measurable business value. The position reports directly to our Finance Business Partner Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

You are a business-oriented finance professional who enjoys working close to the business challenging constructively and partnering with stakeholders across Procurement Supply Chain Operations FP&A and Finance to drive performance and continuous improvement.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with Global Procurement and Supply Chain leaders to support strategic sourcing decisions and supplier performance initiatives.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide fact-based financial insights to support procurement strategies supplier negotiations and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Translate procurement priorities into measurable financial targets savings plans and meaningful performance indicators.
  • Lead the financial validation of procurement savings initiatives and ensure measurable impact on profitability and business performance.
  • Support sourcing decisions through business cases supplier evaluations make-or-buy analyses and total cost of ownership assessments.
  • Partner with teams during the sales and bid phase to support procurement-related cost assumptions supplier strategies and subcontracting decisions.
  • Monitor supplier cost performance and identify risks that could impact project margins or operational performance.
  • Drive transparency across procurement spend supplier performance cost reduction initiatives and working-capital impact.
  • Drive the development of insightful dashboards reporting frameworks and analytics solutions that enhance decision-making and increase transparency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement process standardization and data quality initiatives across procurement and finance.
What you need to succeed

We believe you are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working close to the business influencing decisions and creating tangible results.

You bring:

  • Several years of experience in procurement finance material cost controlling operations controlling or similar experience.
  • Experience from complex industrial environments such as manufacturing automation industrial equipment or related industries.
  • A proven track record in cost reduction initiatives supplier cost analysis savings validation and cost down performance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Sound understanding of procurement processes supplier economics category management sourcing decisions and total cost of ownership principles.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP system and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Power BI or similar analytics tools is an advantage.
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders provide constructive challenge and build strong relationships across a global organization.
  • Experience working with Chinese suppliers procurement teams manufacturing organizations or Asian supply markets would be highly valued.
  • Fluent English communication skills. German is an advantage. Mandarin language skills are a plus.
