Bloombergs Market Data platform powers critical analytics and real-time decision-making across global financial markets. We operate one of the largest most latency-sensitive data pipelines in the world ingesting normalizing storing and distributing hundreds of billions of events daily across 100M instruments.
Were adding team leads in two areas to support our growing Frankfurt engineering team:
- Market Data Feeds high-volume exchange connectivity and normalization
- Market Data Storage & Retrieval large-scale time-series storage and query infrastructure

What Youll Lead
- Build coach and develop a high-performing engineering team hiring included.
- Drive architecture and delivery of scalable low-latency highly available systems.
- Instill an engineering culture centered on clarity accountability and quality.
- Partner with stakeholders to align priorities manage expectations and deliver iteratively.
- Collaborate across global engineering groups to evolve shared infrastructure and standards.
- Establish team vision operating model and cultural foundations
What You Bring
- Experience managing and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- A track record of delivering complex distributed systems or large-scale infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and comfort navigating high-stakes cross-team work.
- Technical leadership that balances execution with long-term strategic thinking.
- Recent practical coding experience to participate in code reviews and handle scoped development work
- Strong hands on experience with C
Nice to Have
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Background in real-time high-throughput or fault-tolerant systems.
- Exposure to financial market data or streaming data infrastructure.
