Overview

Are you passionate about driving the energy transition and ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-growing climate technology company I am seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Energy Portfolio Manager to build and lead our Power Operations division. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in the renewable energy sector while working in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities
Operational Operations
  • Oversee balancing group management and timetable management.
  • Ensure smooth execution of market communication processes.
  • Contribute to the operation of the Virtual Power Plant.
Direct Marketing
  • Manage the operational implementation of direct marketing for solar power plants.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Take responsibility for customer communication and support.
  • Assist in the development of a customer platform for direct marketing.
  • Oversee billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Business & Performance
  • Take ownership of the P&L for the solar portfolio.
  • Support the optimization of marketing and revenue strategies.
Projects & Innovation
  • Lead the development of co-location projects (solar battery).
  • Oversee the integration and connection of battery storage systems.
  • Manage the prequalification of batteries in different control zones.
Interfaces & Collaboration
  • Act as a central interface between internal teams.
  • Support the accounting department with process understanding and billing-related issues.
Qualifications
  • A degree in energy economics industrial engineering business administration or a comparable field.
  • Proven experience in direct marketing balancing group management or energy trading.
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework in the German energy market (EEG market communication balancing energy).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and energy industry software solutions.
  • Excellent German language skills both written and spoken; English skills are an advantage.
  • Independent structured and solution-oriented work style.
  • High sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and shape processes.
