Electrical Design & Automation System Specialist (mfd)

As our Electrical Design & Automation Systems Specialist you will take ownership of our global engineering application landscape with a strong focus on EPLAN Siemens SIMATIC (TIA Portal) and related engineering systems. 

Working at the interface of Electrical Engineering Automation and IT you will drive engineering digitalization improve global standards and processes and enable scalable engineering solutions across our international organization. 

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence global engineering standards application strategy and future engineering workflows. 

Your Responsibilities 

• Drive the development and continuous improvement of our global electrical design and machine control tool landscape  
• Own and continuously develop the global EPLAN and engineering applications landscape 
• Drive integration with PLM ERP and other enterprise systems 
• Collaborate with Engineering Automation and IT teams worldwide 
• Translate business requirements into scalable application solutions 
• Lead and support international digitalization and application projects 
• Drive standardization process harmonization and data quality improvements 
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for global stakeholders 
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency automation and engineering excellence 

Your Profile 

Must-Have 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Engineering or a comparable qualification 
• Professional experience with EPLAN or comparable engineering applications 
• Understanding of electrical engineering design processes and engineering data structures 
• Basic understanding of automation environments and PLC engineering processes.  
• Strong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills 
• Fluent English skills 

Nice-to-Have 

• Experience with Siemens automation solutions (e.g. SIMATIC) 
• Knowledge of SAP PLM SAP ECTR Autodesk Vault or similar PLM/PDM systems 
• Experience with engineering application administration and system integrations 
• Knowledge of IT service management deployment or application lifecycle processes
