The role
As a classic Sales Organization Fortinet works with Direct Sales Business Units like Territory Public or Enterprise to create an effective and efficient end customer coverage. These Business Units are organized either regionally or vertically. At the same time Fortinet as a 100% Channel company has an effective Channel Team to cover the Fortinet Reseller landscape. Also organized regionally or by key account.
A District is a clearly defined geographical area in Germany where huge business potential was identified. This is where the District Channel Development Manager role is key.
In the role you will be responsible for the following:
This role is a virtual team lead for the District.
Develop the respective District by orchestrating the Sales Business Units and Channel located in the District.
Identify the areas of potential for the District in Collaboration with the Direct Sales Teams and Channel Account Managers.
Identify the partners to collaborate with in these specific areas and develop a growth plan together with these partners supported by the respective CAM.
Build a growth plan for the District with specific priorities.
Drive specific sales activities with the support of the Direct Sales Teams Channel Account Managers and Partners.
Develop annual/quarterly plans to drive incremental growth achieve goals and exceed quota responsibility.
Develop and manage relationships with key executives decision makers influencers internally and externally.
What do we expect you to bring
Strong experience as a Direct Sales Account Manager in the IT industry ideally Security.
Ideally you also bring experience from a Channel facing role either as a Partner Manager or Channel Leader.
Previous experience as a Leader for virtual teams.
High ability to orchestrate complex projects and organizations.
Proactive and highly motivated working self-reliantly and independently.
You enjoy collaborating with several people from different roles and teams in complex environments internally and externally.
Deep understanding of the German IT market and Channel-led business is a must.
Excellent relationship network within the German IT Channel landscape is a plus.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proven record of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation and project management skills (German & English).
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint Word Excel & SFDC.
