TheSchool offers currentlysixBachelor andthreeMaster programsrangingfrom the fields of Business and Economicsto Logistics and Supply Chain Managementand fromData Scienceto PsychologyPolitical Science and History.A new program in the area of Social Sciencesand twoexecutive MBAs school isgrowing rapidly. There are currently around600students enrolled and 20 members of faculty.

TheSchoolholds close ties to the University of Bremen via a jointGraduate School withanother nearly100 enrolled addition theSchoolplaysa major rolein the wider education program at Constructor University through teaching of the Universitysmethodseducation.

Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as Dean of the School of Business Social and Decision Sciences acting as the academic and administrative head.

• Providingstrategic and academic leadershipfor the School through oversight of teaching research academic development and portfolio management in alignment with the universitys mission and long-term goals
• Serving as line supervisor for faculty members across multiple academic disciplines leading and mentoring adiverse faculty bodywhile supporting professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Working with the Provost to develop and manage the Schools annual budget covering teaching research and administrative operations ensuring effective resource allocation and continuous improvement of academic programs and research activities
• Contributing to cross-university leadership in developinginterdisciplinary educationacross undergraduate graduate online and appropriate further education programs
• Collaborating with the Provosts Office other Deans and the Constructor Ecosystem to strengthen academic quality and institutional strategy
• Strengthening the Schoolsinternational profileand academic partnerships
• Fostering innovation indigital and online educationand emerging forms of teaching and learning
• Representing the School within the university and externally to academic scientific and industry stakeholders

Your Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate strong academic credentials combined with proven leadership experience.

• Appointment asFull Professoror equivalent academic standing
• At least10 yearsof experience in both teaching and research in a field relevant to the School
• Stronginternational academic reputationdemonstrated through research and teaching achievements
• Experience in thecommercialization of researchand research transfer (e.g. startups entrepreneurship patenting)would bean advantage
• Proven involvement inhigh-level academic administrationand leadership such as roles in academic governance or scientific organizations
• Demonstrated experience instrategic thinkingand academic management
• Understanding of theeconomic and strategic contextof academic and scientific activities within universities
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skillswith the ability to foster collaboration and teamwork
• Experience working withhighly diverse and international student bodiesand their representative organizations or equivalent experience leading diverse teams
• Familiarity with international and German higher education systems
• Fluency in English(language of instruction at Constructor University); proficiency in Germanwould bean advantage
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to thedevelopment and innovationof academic units and institutions particularly in relation todigital transformation
