As these systems become more connected intelligent and mission-critical cybersecurity becomes a key enabler. That is where you come in.

Your Role

As a Cybersecurity Specialist for our flight simulator and training systems you protect the digital backbone of our GBT ecosystem. You secure the IT infrastructure that powers our simulators training networks and customer installations worldwide ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of confidentiality integrity and availability.

Your Responsibilities

• Operation administration and continuous hardening of the IT infrastructure behind our flight simulators and training systems

• Implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures in line with ISO 27001 and aerospace-relevant security standards

• Configuration and management of Windows and Linux servers Active Directory networks firewalls VPNs and NAS systems

• Vulnerability analysis vulnerability management and execution of vulnerability scans

• Development and enforcement of secure configurations system hardening and backup concepts

• Support for secure data transmission concepts (integrity authenticity confidentiality)

• Collaboration with internal development teams external service providers and customers on security-related topics

• Support during customer installations audits and security assessments

Your Profile

Professional Background

• Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable qualification in Computer Science Cybersecurity or IT Engineering

• 3 years of professional experience in system administration IT operations or a similar technical role

Technical Skills IT Infrastructure

• Solid understanding of IT systems networks and operating systems including troubleshooting and analysis

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server & Client Active Directory and Group Policies

• Experience with Linux servers at admin level

• File server administration

• Network environments (routing switching firewalls) including setup and configuration of switches LAN/VLAN structures and basic firewall rule management

• VPN systems and disk encryption tools

• Experience with QNAP NAS systems (administration backup configuration user management and security settings)

• RAID setups and backup concepts

• Hardware/software configuration and deployment

Cybersecurity & ISO 27001

• Good knowledge of IT security principles and ISO 27001 requirements

• Ability to develop and implement security measures including system hardening and secure configuration

• Experience with vulnerability analysis and vulnerability management including running vulnerability scans

• Understanding of secure boot firmware integrity and runtime security

• Basic understanding of secure data transmission concepts (e.g. message/signal integrity authenticity confidentiality) according to standards such as ISO/SAE 21434

Soft Skills & Working Style

• Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver pragmatic sustainable results

• Strong communication skills both within the team and with internal and external service providers and customers

• High level of reliability teamwork and a service-oriented approach

• Very good German skills and good English skills

Advantageous Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Windows Server 2012/2016 certification

• Cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security or equivalent

• Penetration testing experience

• Exposure to secure development methodologies or secure coding

• Familiarity with Mixed Reality (MR) Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) simulation environments
