Job Summary

  • As a Cyber-Security Software Engineer for Automated Mobile Machinery (m/f/div.) you will be crucial in designing and implementing robust platform-level security mechanisms on our QNX-based embedded systems.
  • Your primary responsibility involves translating security requirements into concrete software and system implementations.
  • You will design and integrate secure boot chains image verification and root-of-trust concepts while also implementing security for in-vehicle communication (CAN/CAN-FD Ethernet).
  • Applying cryptographic mechanisms and supporting key/certificate handling alongside the implementation of secure software update concepts will also be key tasks.
  • Furthermore you will support security testing debugging and issue resolution on target hardware actively contributing to security-related documentation and technical reviews.

Qualifications :

  • Education: university degree in Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Personality and Working Pratice: Strong communication skills Solution-oriented structured and analytical approach to work High sense of responsibility for quality and safety Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts in an understandable way and enthusiasm for future technologies such as autonomous driving and AI
  • Experience and Knowledge: Solid experience in embedded software development (preferably C/C) strong hands-on experience in embedded or automotive cybersecurity solid understanding of secure boot and hardware root of trust cryptography and key management OS-level security concepts (process separation memory protection) experience with QNX or other POSIX-compliant real-time operating systems knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN CAN-FD Ethernet) ability to design and implement security mechanisms comfortable working close to hardware and debugging security-relevant issues; Experience with Ti TDA4 SoCs and Texas Instruments PSDK knowledge of AUTOSAR security concepts experience with secure OTA / update mechanisms
  • Languages: fluent English and German is an advantage
