ELECTRICAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

ROLE DETAILS

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Service Technician to join an innovative engineering company developing specialist equipment for the industrial additive manufacturing sector.

The position is a varied hands-on role where youll support the commissioning servicing and testing of specialist industrial equipment. Approximately 20% of your time will be spent travelling to customer sites across Europe with the remainder based on-site building test stands assembling equipment troubleshooting electrical systems and supporting continuous product improvements.

Youll also play an important role in delivering technical training to customer service teams improving service documentation and working closely with the engineering team to enhance product performance and reliability.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commission service and maintain specialist industrial equipment both on-site and at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and electromechanical faults.
• Carry out electrical wiring panel wiring and work on electrical cabinets.
• Build and operate internal test stands to support product testing and validation.
• Assemble repair and modify equipment and prototype systems.
• Deliver Train the Trainer sessions for OEM customer service technicians.
• Produce and update service documentation and technical work instructions.
• Support continuous product improvements alongside the engineering team.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Experience servicing maintaining or commissioning industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical wiring electrical cabinets and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Hands-on electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Full driving licence.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Recognised qualification as an Electrical Technician Mechatronics Technician or similar.
• Experience with SPS/PLC programming or troubleshooting.
• Previous experience within Additive Manufacturing industrial filtration special purpose machinery or industrial automation.
• German language skills.
• Experience delivering technical training to customers or field service engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Vocational qualification apprenticeship or equivalent certification within an electrical or mechatronics discipline.
• Additional electrical or automation certifications would be advantageous
