What will you be doing
As a Center Cook youll play a vital role in fueling young minds and bodies by preparing healthy and delicious meals for breakfast lunch and snacks. Your attention to nutrition and food safety helps ensure our children are energized and ready to learn and grow each day. Youll also take pride in keeping our kitchen clean organized and running smoothly.
In addition to your kitchen role we welcome and value cooks who are interested in spending time in the classroom. This unique opportunity allows you to build meaningful connections with the children by supporting teachers and engaging in classroom activities. While not required your presence in both the kitchen and classroom helps create a warm supportive environment for all.
Sweeping and mopping halls restrooms classrooms lobby and staff lounge.
Cleaning the interior of all glass windows in building.
Vacuuming mats and rugs.
Cleaning and sanitizing toilets sinks countertops tabletops and fixtures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This is position must be done after the children have left for the day due to chemical cleaning agents. Two 4-5 hour shifts must be completed each week outside of normal operating hours (i.e. a Monday night and a Friday night / a Wednesday night and a Saturday morning etc.). The commitment will be 8-10 hours per week.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1 years of food preparation experience preferred
ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred
Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience preferred
Ability to work within regular operating hours
Must meet state criteria for child care employment
1 years of commercial or residential cleaning experience preferred
Ability to work within specified hours
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
