Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable hands-on Lab Assistant to support our team developing next-generation lithium-sulfur battery technology. The ideal candidate will have a chemical background and practical lab experience with a strong focus on safety organization and efficiency. You will support daily lab operations including cell preparation inventory management equipment maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintain and clean laboratory areas and glassware
- Assist pouch cell assembly according to established procedures
- Prepare pouch coin and Swagelok cell parts for testing and experimentation
- Manage chemical inventory and laboratory consumables
- Check and replace gas cylinders and ensure proper storage and availability
- Calibrate laboratory equipment according to established procedures and schedules
- Support equipment maintenance including but not limited to TGA SEM and DSC
- Perform routine laboratory safety checks including fume hood suction filter inspection/replacement eyewash and emergency shower checks and chemical waste management
- Proficient in German and English - our company language is English incl. all internal communication and meetings. You will be contacting external technicians in German.
- Chemical background or relevant qualification (degree or certificate)
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
- Available to start as soon as possible
- Flexibility in working hours
- Experience in a battery laboratory
