Role Overview An exceptional opportunity has opened with a leading European software and technology organization in the retail sector employing over 500 people. The company develops a market-leading flagship 3D planning and business process management software platform used by thousands of trade professionals across Europe.

As a C Developer for Commercial Modules you will join an agile SCRUM team focused on core software development expanding the platforms commercial functionalities billing modules and business process workflows. This is a software-centric position (not hardware-focused) ideal for a backend or core developer who enjoys high-quality code architecture and robust desktop/enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Feature Development: Design write and optimize new high-performance features and enhance existing functionalities within the core C application.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate as an active member of a structured SCRUM team collaborating closely with fellow developers product owners and QA testers.
• Requirement Analysis: Analyze complex technical and functional business requirements translating them into scalable software architectures.
• Code Quality & Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of code quality participating in code reviews bug fixing and continuous optimization of the existing codebase.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years (ideally 35 years) of professional software development experience in a corporate or R&D environment.
• Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in C and a deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Development Environment: Solid hands-on experience working within Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Database & Tooling: Good working knowledge of query languages (SQL) and source control systems (Git).
• Language Proficiency: At least C1 German (fluent verbal and written) is strictly required for technical team alignment and business logic processing.
• Work Authorization: Candidates must already possess the unrestricted right to work in Germany (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Experience working with legacy or desktop frameworks like Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
• Exposure to NoSQL database structures (e.g. MongoDB).
• Familiarity with JIRA for agile issue tracking and ticketing.
• A foundational understanding of commercial retail or business process workflows.
