Butcher & Slaughter Specialist (mfd) – North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Our client in North Rhine-Westphalia Germany is looking for experienced Butchers / Stunning and Slaughter Specialists (m/f/d) with valid EU certification.

Work Locations

• Company headquarters: Hamm North Rhine-Westphalia

• Assignments at various customer sites across NRW

• Willingness to travel and stay overnight is required

Your Responsibilities

• Professional stunning and slaughtering of livestock according to EU regulations

• Compliance with animal welfare and hygiene standards

• Work depending on qualification and certification in the following areas:

  • Cattle (captive bolt stunning / pithing)

  • Pigs (electrical gas)

  • Poultry (gas electrical neck dislocation captive bolt etc.)

  • Sheep and goats (electrical)

• Documentation and compliance with legal requirements

Your Profile

• Valid EU certificate of competence for stunning and slaughtering

• Proven practical experience in the relevant field

• Certificates references and proof of experience are mandatory

• Good English or German language skills

• Willingness to travel within North Rhine-Westphalia

• Reliable and responsible working style

Applications without valid EU certification species-specific qualifications and proof of practical experience for the relevant stunning and slaughter methods cannot be considered.

We Offer

• Starting hourly wage: 17.00 gross

• Higher rates possible depending on performance and further training

• Overtime payments according to NRW wholesale and foreign trade collective agreement

• Average weekly working hours: 38.5 hours

• 30 vacation days per year

• Pool vehicles for business travel

• Accommodation arrangements for assignments at changing customer locations

• Employees must arrange and pay for their own accommodation in Germany

• Travel costs to Germany are not covered
