About the role
As a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) you will be a key contributor to our R&D activities supporting the development verification and quality of innovative biological assays and technologies. You will independently perform laboratory experiments document and analyze results and ensure high-quality standards in a modern interdisciplinary research environment.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Perform verification and validation experiments for R&D and product development
Analyze and document experiments in accordance with GLP and internal quality standards
Apply biological and biochemical techniques including ELISA Western blotting FPLC IF (ICC IHC) FISH RNA/protein co-detection assays NGS CRISPR-based gene editing and screening single-cell analysis cytometry/FACS and spatial biology
The essential requirements of the job include:
BSc degree or equivalent in biology or a related life-science field or completed training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent qualification
Several years of hands-on experience with biological and/or biochemical laboratory methods
Fluency in German and English (both at working proficiency level)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Performing image-based assays using advanced microscopy platforms (e.g. confocal and light-sheet microscopy)
Working with diverse sample types including tissue sections liquid biopsies organoids/3D cell cultures and biological model systems
