To strengthen our Climate Strategy and Carbon Market team our team of experts is looking forward to welcoming you as a Biodiversity Specialist at our headquarters inCologne.

In this role you will play an important part in strengthening Meo Carbon Solutions expertise on biodiversity-related topics. You will develop in-depth knowledge of biodiversity assessment and biodiversity crediting and provide specialised support to our teams and projects. Your work will contribute understanding and assessing biodiversity risks and opportunities and to explore the potential of biodiversity co-benefits in carbon farming and other sustainability projects (e.g. carbon crediting projects).

Your main duties will be

• Conducting biodiversity risk assessments and supporting biodiversity credit feasibility studies
• Analysing biodiversity co-benefits in carbon farming and other sustainability projects (e.g. carbon crediting projects)
• Contributing to the implementation of the ongoing projects (e.g. EU LIFE Horizon)
• Developing and maintaining specialised knowledge on biodiversity assessment and biodiversity crediting
• Contributing to the continuous development of Meo Carbon Solutions expertise and services in the field of biodiversity
• Supporting the team in research-related tasks and the development of new approaches and solutions focused but not limited to bioversity
• Supporting project teams with biodiversity-related technical expertise and analyses
• Preparing presentations reports and other project-related materials
