Assistant Vice President, Sovereign Ratings (Sovereign Credit Analyst)

• Assigning reviewing and monitoring credit ratings including formulating rating opinions and producing topical research.
• Participating in the development of rating methodologies.
• Developing and maintaining analytical tools and reports for internal and external use.
• Monitoring institutional political geopolitical and economic developments that impact public sector issuers.
• Meeting with issuers investors and other market participants to discuss Morningstar DBRS ratings and research.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting Business Economics Political Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in sovereign supranational or other public sector credit analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Additional language skills particularly Spanish Italian or French are a plus.
