SAP Integration Architect
Job Summary
Lead the integration work behind a multi-country ERP transformation connecting systems that cannot simply be switched off and replaced.
Paris or Lyon France Permanent Hybrid
- Defining the integration architecture for a multi-country SAP S/4HANA programme
- Designing interfaces between SAP legacy applications SaaS platforms and external partners
- Selecting appropriate patterns for synchronous asynchronous batch and event-based integrations
- Translating business processes into clear technical integration requirements
- Defining API interface error-handling security and monitoring standards
- Reviewing technical designs produced by internal teams and implementation partners
- Supporting data migration and system transition planning
- Coordinating dependencies across finance supply chain sales and HR workstreams
- Investigating integration failures across applications middleware networks and data formats
- Supporting testing cutover and post-launch stabilisation
- Maintaining architecture decisions interface inventories and technical documentation
- Working directly with programme leaders functional consultants and engineering teams
- Connecting a new SAP environment to legacy systems that remain business-critical
- Managing hundreds of interfaces with different owners formats and availability requirements
- Defining reusable integration patterns across several countries and business units
- Handling data consistency when transactions cross multiple systems
- Planning cutover sequences where systems cannot all migrate at the same time
- Balancing programme standards with local regulatory and operational requirements
- Identifying failures quickly across long chains of technical dependencies
- 7 years of experience in enterprise integration or ERP architecture
- Significant experience with SAP integration environments
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Integration Suite or comparable middleware
- Strong understanding of APIs messaging events and batch integration
- Experience working with complex legacy environments
- Understanding of authentication encryption access control and data protection
- Experience contributing to large transformation or migration programmes
- Ability to document architecture decisions and integration standards clearly
- Confidence working with functional consultants developers vendors and senior stakeholders
- Ability to distinguish necessary architecture from unnecessary complexity
- Professional French and English
