Product Development Specialist Ingredients

As a Product Development Specialist Ingredients you will be responsible for developing improving validating and implementing ingredient solutions that support DAT-Schaubs product portfolio and customer needs across Europe.

Working closely with Product Management Sales Operations Quality Procurement and customers you will transform ideas into commercially viable solutions while ensuring compliance technical excellence and operational feasibility.

You will play a key role in supporting innovation projects customer developments industrial trials and the continuous improvement of ingredient technologies and applications.

• Develop new ingredient solutions in line with customer requirements and business needs.
• Improve and optimize existing formulations products and applications.
• Evaluate new raw materials ingredients and processing technologies.
• Support innovation projects that create customer value and strengthen competitiveness.
• Respond to customer development requests and technical challenges.
• Design test and validate ingredient solutions tailored to specific applications.
• Plan execute and document laboratory pilot and industrial trials.
• Support the successful industrialization and implementation of new solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers Sales Quality Procurement Supply Chain and Operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety quality regulatory and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation development reports and product specifications.
• Monitor market trends customer needs and technological developments to identify new opportunities.
• Contribute to the harmonisation of product development practices and methodologies across Europe.

You are comfortable working in an international environment and capable of balancing technical requirements business priorities and operational realities.

If that sounds like you have a look at the experience and competencies we are looking for below.

• Degree in Food Science Food Technology Meat Science Biotechnology Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Experience in Product Development Food Applications R&D or Technical Support roles.
• Experience within food ingredients meat processing food manufacturing or related industries is highly desirable.
• Understanding of food ingredients additives and food manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of food safety quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international environments is an advantage.
• Fluent English is required.
• Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
