Role Description:
The successful candidate will work at MACOM European Semiconductor Center (Limeil-Brévannes) within the Advanced Process Development team responsible for the development qualification and transfer to production of next-generation Gallium Nitride and Gallium Arsenide technologies. The role includes development continuous improvement and sustaining processes all in close partnership with Epitaxy Production Maintenance Quality On Wafer Measurement Visual Inspection. Excellent judgment expertise in semiconductor processing and an optimistic can-do approach are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Develop optimize and transfer into production processes for GaN and GaAs technologies
Installation and qualification of new equipment
Design and execution of experiments to optimize the reliability performance and yields of these technologies
Characterization of experiments by use of various metrology methods such as scanning electron microscopy electrical characterization material characterization etc.
Conceptualization layout and characterization of process test structures
Identify and initiate actions that will result in continuous improvement of products and processes
Collection of data documentation of procedures (updating procedures / Routes) and training of operators are also important parts of this role
Reporting on experimental results to team
Qualifications and Competencies:
PhD or masters degree in physics or electrical engineering
A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in the microelectronics industry
Understanding of the process steps and methods relating to fabrication of GaN and GaAs based MMIC devices
Experience with semiconductor fabrication methods including plasma lithography electroplating metals grind/polish etc.
Experience with CAD layout methods and tools desirable
Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems project ownership meeting deadlines and multitasking
Plans leads and executes DOEs aimed at resolving complex engineering quality manufacturing issues related to microelectronic process development
Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Fluent in French
Good English communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within a fast-paced team environment
