Location & Working Arrangement

EURELITE is currently building its global engineering presence. The companys Paris office is expected to open in 2027. Until then international candidates joining for on-site positions will initially work as part of our Beijing-based China engineering team during the first year.

Position Overview

The Nuclear Equipment Engineer is responsible for the engineering development and lifecycle management of critical primary loop equipment for advanced nuclear reactor systems.

This role covers the complete equipment lifecycle including technical specification development equipment design coordination supplier technical management manufacturing quality control inspection testing installation and commissioning support.

The successful candidate will act as a key technical interface between reactor engineering teams suppliers procurement QA/QC organizations and external inspection agencies to ensure safe high-quality and timely equipment delivery in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Nuclear Equipment Engineering & Technical Requirements

  • Develop technical specifications and engineering requirements for primary loop nuclear equipment.
  • Define equipment functional requirements physical boundaries and system interfaces.
  • Review and verify equipment design solutions to ensure compliance with reactor system requirements.
  • Support engineering design reviews and technical documentation preparation.

2. Supplier Engineering & Technical Coordination

  • Manage technical communication with equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Review supplier technical proposals drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate technical agreements and ensure alignment between engineering requirements and supplier deliverables.
  • Monitor manufacturing progress quality milestones and technical risks.

3. Equipment Manufacturing Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support equipment manufacturing surveillance and quality control activities.
  • Participate in equipment inspection testing and qualification activities including:
    • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
    • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Review and approve technical delivery documentation including:
    • Engineering design packages
    • Material certificates
    • Manufacturing records
    • QA/QC documentation

4. Installation Commissioning & Lifecycle Support

  • Support equipment installation commissioning and integration activities.
  • Assist in collecting operational and maintenance data for lifecycle optimization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Masterss degree or above in:

- Mechanical Engineering

- Nuclear Engineering

- Process Equipment Engineering

- Energy Engineering

- Related engineering disciplines

Professional Experience

  • Experience in equipment engineering mechanical systems engineering or industrial equipment development.
  • Understanding of the complete engineering delivery lifecycle from design through manufacturing and commissioning.
  • Experience working with suppliers technical documentation and engineering verification processes.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of nuclear power plant equipment or large-scale industrial systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical equipment design and qualification processes.
  • Ability to review technical drawings specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Strong understanding of quality management and engineering standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will be highly valued:

  • Experience in nuclear power plant engineering or advanced reactor projects.
  • Experience with primary loop systems or reactor auxiliary systems.
  • Familiarity with:

- Pressure vessels

- Heat exchangers

- Rotating equipment

- Mechanical systems

- Nuclear safety-related equipment

  • Experience in supplier quality management manufacturing oversight or equipment procurement.
