• Design the mechanical foundations of next-generation MRI. Develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies that meet demanding requirements for precision reliability safety and usability.

• Own mechanical development from concept to reality. Take designs from early concepts and CAD models through simulation prototyping testing and manufacturing.

• Solve challenging engineering problems. Use structural analysis finite element simulations and hands-on experimentation to optimize mechanical performance deformation and reliability.

• Build for the real world. Design robust manufacturable systems working closely with suppliers and partners to turn prototypes into reliable production-ready components.

• Make every component work as part of the system. Collaborate across mechanical electronics and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and overall system performance.

• Deliver safe reliable and user-centered designs. Validate mechanical performance address ergonomics and usability and ensure designs meet applicable medical device quality and safety requirements.

Relevant technical skills: 3D CAD and mechanical design (SolidWorks or equivalent) structural simulation and finite element analysis (FEA).
