Each year 140M children are born. Birth defects affect 1 in 33 births in developed countries and in 50% of cases they are not detected during prenatal examinations. Prenatal medicine is particularly complex and the scans impose heavy responsibilities on healthcare professionals. They can also be a source of stress for future parents.
Resulting from 5 years of collaboration between world-renowned experts from Necker Hospital and Ecole Polytechnique Sonio uses artificial intelligence to improve prenatal screening and diagnosis. Based on patented algorithms and a proprietary expert database Sonio aims to become the reference tool to help practitioners improve screening reduce diagnostic errors and optimize pregnant womens medical path.
Sonios mission is to improve womens and childrens health by promoting access and quality of care through technological innovation medical expertise and collective intelligence.
About the role:
Are you passionate about womens and fetal medicine Join our clinical team for an internship that combines fieldwork project coordination and institutional partnerships at the intersection of clinical research and AI.
You will work closely with our Clinical Team and Data Team to support the development and validation of our AI solutions for fetal and maternal health with direct exposure to real-world clinical data collection across partner institutions in France and Europe.
Your missions:
Travel on site to university hospitals and private practices to support and execute data collection sessions
Coordinate the de-identification and anonymization of DICOM imaging data in compliance with applicable regulations
Support the preparation and submission of IRB / ethics committee applications and amendments and help maintain regulatory documentation
Assist in discussions with institutions interested in data collection partnerships from initial outreach to protocol agreement
Contribute to the drafting and improvement of data collection SOPs and protocols
Maintain accurate tracking of data collection progress site status and regulatory timelines
Liaise between clinical partners the Data Engineering Team and the Clinical Team to ensure smooth execution
This role is both operational and strategic it requires strong project management skills comfort in clinical environments and the ability to navigate institutional stakeholders.

Is completing an M2 in business public health biomedical engineering health management or a related field
Has already had several internships ideally in the health/research sector
Is comfortable engaging directly with medical providers and going on site to clinical environments
Has an interest in clinical research processes including IRB submissions and data governance
Is organized rigorous and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Is fluent in both French and English additional European languages are a plus
