Platform Engineer

Want to join the Frends Platform Operations Team

Frendsis growing and as a result were now looking to strengthen our Platform Operations team by hiring a Platform Engineer to work with the FrendseiPaaSproduct organization.

Platform Operations team is responsiblefor the management and development of the Frends operational environments and the Frends eiPaaSTenant life-cycle.

Your daily work tasks include:

• Provisioning deployment and updating Frends eiPaaSTenants

• Monitoring and ensuring system availability and reliability

• Maintenance and optimization of Platform components

• Incident Management and resolution

• Development of Cloud/Hybrid Infrastructure and Operations

• Development of deployment workflows tooling and automation

• Development of product packaging and technical documentation

You will become part of a core team of four people where work will be divided according to each team members expertise and addition to the core team the work is carried out closely withinternal stakeholders and the Frends R&D team.

We expect:

• Working knowledge of virtualized or cloud infrastructure (VMware Hyper-V AWS Azure Google Cloud) and a proficiency in at least one.

• Working knowledge of Containers/Orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)

• Proficiency in some scripting language (PowerShell Bash Python) and Infrastructure as Code (ARM Bicep Terraform Ansible)

• Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation

• A problem-solving mindset with an ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment

• A motivation to learn and develop your skills

• Good communication skills

Nice to have:

Familiarity with any of the following technologies:

• Web hosting (IIS Kestrel NGINX Apache)

• Messaging Services (Azure Service Bus RabbitMQ ActiveMQ)

• Database (MS SQL Postgres SQLite MySQL)

• Object Storage (Azure Storage S3 Object Storage MinIO)

• Observability/Monitoring (Azure Monitor Grafana Prometheus OpenTelemetry Telegraf ELK Stack)
