Hardware R&D Engineer Cryogenic & Quantum Components

Job Description:

People Hive is supporting a client in the search for a passionate Hardware R&D Engineer specializing in cryogenic and quantum components to join an innovative research and development environment.

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of silicon-based quantum technology. The successful candidate will conduct advanced cryogenic electrical measurements at temperatures below 1 K and will design model and optimize electro-thermal and quantum devices. They will work closely with multidisciplinary R&D and fabrication teams to improve overall device performance.

Critical Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in Physics Electrical Engineering Nanotechnology Semiconductor Devices Quantum Technology or a related field
• Hands-on experience with electronic transport measurements
• Experience with cryogenic experimental setups particularly below 1 K
• Strong knowledge of solid-state physics and device physics

Important Requirements

• Ability to plan experiments and analyse complex measurement data
• Experience collaborating with R&D and fabrication teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in device modelling
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication
• Experience with electro-thermal devices

Location: Espoo Finland
Working arrangement: On-Site
Employment: Full-time
Salary: EUR 60000 - EUR 75000 gross per year
