Fixed Term Container Yard Attendant

The Container Yard Attendant maintains yard cleanliness executes container processing operations supports logistics activities and upholds safety/environmental standards to ensure efficient fleet and yard operations.

Facility & Yard Maintenance

• Clean wash bays garages infrastructure and yard areas per 5S standards.
• Maintain equipment and workstations pre-/post-shift.

Container Operations:

• Wash and prepare containers to meet export requirements.
• Inspect containers using checklists; record numbers and assign to wash/repair bays.

Logistics Support

• Assist in pallet loading material transfers and container movements using provided equipment (e.g. forklifts).

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and support site-wide quality/environmental initiatives.

Administration

• Complete required paperwork and documentation

Qualifications :

Minimum

• Form 6 completion experience in similar roles.
• 12 years in logistics equipment operation (preferred).
• Valid Group 9/Forklift license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Technical logistics experience.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
