Cyber Security Engineer

Our client is based in the UK, South Africa and the US and offers independent cyber security services. Their consultative and unique 360-degree coverage approach surfaces risks, so that they continually deliver on improving clients' security posture.

The primary role of the Cyber Security Engineer within the MSC division is for the technical and operational delivery of a specific Statement of Work as contracted with the client, by being on site to provide such services. Additionally, the Cyber Security Engineer needs to deliver a high level of quality customer service and be a support and escalation channel into our company for the client.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Grade 12.
• Information Security diploma or degree advantageous.
• A+, S+, N+.
• CASP, CISCO, CCNA advantageous.
• 5+ years work experience in the information security industry.
• 2 3 years proven experience in the product to be supported.

Technical Knowledge/Competencies

• Relevant and current Product certifications (depending on the product supported).
• Proven skills and in-depth working knowledge of product to be supported.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Networking skills.
• Incident management.
• Communication and business writing skills.
• Technical documentation / report writing skills and experience.
• Proven understanding and awareness of current developments in the prevailing global Cyber Security environment.

This role is available to those living in and with the Right to work in South Africa already there is no sponsorship available for this role.

This role is hybrid with some travel (travelling between home office and client sites)

This role is estimated salary of R35K - R40K per month (dependenton experience) x 13 + company benefits incl medical aid, pension and provident fund
