Responsibilities:

  • Excellent employment opportunity for a Contracts Administrator in the Ridgefield, CT area.
  • Manage key multifaceted contracted customers including creating, analyzing, calculating and processing complex discounts/rebates, chargebacks, and discount offerings according to mandated legislation (i.e.,340B) and/or contracting guidelines.
  • In addition, ensure compliance of member eligibility as set forth in the contractual terms and conditions to identify ineligible claims/purchases and any potential impacts to Government Pricing Programs.
  • Respond to questions within and outside the organization from internal and external customers regarding complex contract issues that require interpretation on issues related to payment calculations, discounts/rebates or membership.
  • Develop and perform complex analyses and reports using financial modeling techniques
  • For 340B, duties may include: Support and lead internal communications, analysis and reporting related to 340B and Manage the 340B dispute process for either State Medicaid Program, Covered Entities and/or PBMs.
  • Participate in the LTF Development and Process.
  • Ensure accrual projections are accurate and reflect Contracting strategies for internal stakeholders within Analytics and Insights and Finance in a timely manner.
  • As a result, collaboration and continuous communication with the Federal Field Force and other stakeholders is essential.
  • Support and lead from a Contract Compliance perspective, the evaluation of the current contracting / pricing paradigm and recommend, for implementation, approaches to ensure alignment of rebates paid with performance.
  • Look for ways to optimize contracts and enhance Company value.
  • Assist the Contract Development team in providing insightful business cases that include a gap analysis on data elements and on developing a Contract Account performance analysis that is presented to External and Internal Customers.
  • Monitor legislative changes or market events to ensure
  • Contract template language is updated accordingly to mitigate any potential risk for Company.
  • Participate in internal and external audits of ensuring customer compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate and lead in the development of SOP's specific to managing contracts and contract data to ensure standardization of the necessary controls and effectiveness of business processes.
  • Cross train other analysts on departmental Compliance activities and customer specific processes.
  • Collaborate cross functionally, both internally and externally, having the ability to demonstrate a strong business and financial acumen and decision-making skills.
  • Manage the planning of preparation of the monthly cash flow report for the Treasury group.
  • Participate on various cross collaboration project teams, addressing a variety of business needs, including process enhancements, system initiatives, and reporting.
  • Consistently follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all internal policies and guidelines, Compliance and regulations.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Advanced Degree certification in Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or related industry, or with a PBM, Wholesaler or Covered Entity with and at least three (3) years of experience in a contracting, pricing, reimbursement, 340B or managed markets role strongly preferred.
  • Previous negotiation, managed care, or PBM/Payor/Covered Entity experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of Contract Law, Compliance with Government Regulations and limit exposure to potential litigious proceedings for BIPI.
  • Innovative and able to translate business needs into opportunities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice, Outlook and database applications. Location flexible.
