Remote Web Back-end Engineer (Java, Ruby on Rails, and AWS)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing is looking to hire a remote Web Back-end Engineer on behalf of a US-based marketing company, reimagining how businesses advertise by utilizing their proprietary technology. The engineer will be responsible for making the platform more reliable and delightful by taking ownership of the end-to-end product quality. The venture-backed company has built an audience data technology and marketing solutions platform for small, medium, and Fortune 100 companies. This will be a long-term, full-time position that requires an overlap of 4+ hours with the EST time zone. It's a great opportunity for developers to work in an agile environment while rubbing shoulders with industry veterans.

Job Responsibilities:

- Drive continuous feature development and scale the platform
- Think big, iterate quickly, and ship code continuously
- Develop and manage future products by making efficient architectural choices
- Participate in regular ideation and brainstorming sessions


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Demonstrable skills working with Java, Ruby on Rails, and AWS
- Prior working experience with Neo4j and Node.js is nice to have
- Great organizational and management skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
