Remote Mobile Engineer (Java and Kotlin)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing is looking for a remote Mobile Engineer on behalf of a US-based company specializing in the intelligent security of client's databases and sensitive information. The developer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and building a scalable mobile application for the iOS and Android platforms. The company's next-gen technology empowers businesses to safeguard their brand, assets, and people. This will be a full-time, long-term position and requires some overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

- Architect and develop new and existing products, features, and infrastructure in collaboration with the product team
- Design systems to scale with a data-driven and security-first focused approach
- Integrate, build, and utilize infrastructure as code
- Perform operations including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Regularly monitor and maintain the team’s performance and quality
- Champion the design of secure solutions and strive for the easiest and safest method


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile engineer
- Prolific experience with Java and Kotlin
- Prior experience leading a team of developers to complete a project successfully
- Previous experience in the security realm is nice to have
- Nice to have some expertise specifically supporting the back-end to video management systems
- Comfortable working in an agile and autonomous environment
