Our client is a small but very well-known and important company, founded +10 years ago in Luxembourg, building IT solutions with high national relevance for society. The team is around 15 people internally plus external resources and is unique in its company culture and team spirit. The project that is about to be developed is strictly confidential. It is a unique application project with high national relevance that is being developing and will be brought live this year.

Leadership

This is NOT a disciplinary leadership role and you will NOT be in charge leading a team.

Role responsibilities and duties

It this role as the Project Manager / Engineer you take care of a that software (app) development project in agile environment. You plan, oversee, drive and control the progress of this development in interaction with internal and external software architects, developers and engineers. You report directly to the general management. You will combine your broad IT expertise in agile application development with strong Project Management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Your main mission willbe to take over responsibility for a new application development, which is currently strictly confidential due to its importancy
  
• In an agile environment you will analyse, setup, plan and drive the development with internal and external resources (architects, developers, system engineers etc.)
  
• You will report directly to the Management of the company
  
• Manage and operate opensource application stacks
  
• Test custom developed mobile and desktop apps
  
• Follow-up external app development with external development provider
  
• From an DevOps point of view reconcile with developers and the infrastructure tech team the IT infrastructure requirements for the new application to run on
  
• Be the central point fo contact for the end customer and report project progress, plans and problems
  
• Setup and automate recurring tasks, script application configuration and deployment
  
• Monitor operational parameters
  
• In reconcilioation with team ensure optimized security and performance of the applications
  
• You will be required to participate in a formal 24x7 on-call rotation plan in reconciliation with team (very stable operation, almost no incidences)
  

Your profile:

• Minimum of Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a closely related field is requested. Master or PhD is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 5 yrs years experience in project management / project engineering and/or Engineering roles in agile software developmet projects
  
• Fluent in English, French (B2) and German a plus
  
• Agile experience, mindset and method knowledge
  
• Experience in Software lifecycle management
  
• Experience in Mobile app ecosystem a PLUS
  
• Experience in Unix systems, Database, Virtualization and containerization technologies
  
• Experience in IT automation and DevOps operation
  
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  
• Authentication standards, single sign on,
  
• Scripting languages
  
• Good understanding of application and system security measures
