Job Description Merchandise and Purchase Planning Responsible for planning, selecting, and purchasing of products that are sold in retail stores. Source new and review existing products to ensure that in store products remain competitive. Recommend, establish, and periodically update company purchasing procedures. Assist accounts payable with invoice discrepancies and ensure suppliers' invoices are processed for payment in a timely manner. Inventory Management, Warehousing and Outbound Logistics Ensure that all inventory purchase, production, sales, and transfer orders are executed in a timely and consistent manner and that inventory levels are accurate. Execute periodic physical inventory counts, audits and identify opportunities to enhance accuracy and reduce inventory losses. Analyze the velocity of sales of products, determine reorder points and manage inventory replenishment processes to ensure continuity of supply. Monitor and replenish store materials, tools and assets relating to visual merchandising, and services such as wrapping, custom orders, product sales and delivery.
