Digital Distribution & YouTube Copyright

The Digital Distribution & YouTube Copyright is responsible for managing the end-to-end digital music distribution process across DSPs (Digital Service Providers) while overseeing YouTube rights management copyright protection content monetization and platform compliance. The role ensures that music releases are delivered accurately and on time copyrights are protected revenues are maximized and artist/catalog performance is optimized across digital platforms.

The position works closely with artists labels aggregators DSP partners legal teams content operations and marketing departments to maintain efficient workflows and strong platform relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Distribution Management

Manage music and video distribution across platforms such as Spotify Apple Music YouTube Deezer Anghami TikTok and other DSPs.

Oversee release scheduling metadata quality control asset delivery and publishing compliance.

Ensure timely ingestion and delivery of audio/video content to all platforms.

Coordinate release timelines with artists labels and internal stakeholders.

Monitor content performance and troubleshoot delivery or takedown issues.

Maintain catalog organization and metadata accuracy.

YouTube Copyright & Content Management

Manage YouTube CMS and rights management systems.

Handle copyright claims disputes conflicts and ownership resolutions through YouTube Content ID.

Protect artist and label intellectual property against unauthorized usage.

Optimize monetization settings for channels and user-generated content.

Review and clear copyright conflicts and asset ownership overlaps.

Monitor piracy content misuse and unauthorized uploads.

Coordinate with legal and platform representatives on escalations and policy compliance.

Manage channel optimization asset linking and rights ownership structures.

Revenue & Reporting

Track revenue reports and platform analytics across DSPs and YouTube.

Analyze streaming and monetization performance.

Prepare monthly and quarterly business reports for management and rights holders.

Identify revenue growth opportunities and monetization optimization strategies.

Reconcile claims earnings and platform reporting discrepancies.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

Work cross-functionally with marketing legal finance operations and A&R teams.

Support artists and partners with distribution and copyright-related inquiries.

Build and maintain relationships with DSP and platform representatives.

Train internal teams on distribution workflows and copyright best practices.

Ability to work in fast-paced entertainment environments.

Previous experience at a music distributor label MCN publisher or digital media company.

Existing relationships with DSP and YouTube partner teams are a plus.

Experience managing large music catalogs and release pipelines.

Strong understanding of music distribution workflows.

Experience with YouTube CMS and Content ID systems.

Knowledge of metadata standards and rights ownership structures.

Understanding of music copyrights neighboring rights and publishing.

Familiarity with DSP dashboards and analytics tools.

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets reporting skills.
