Junior Data Engineer — ETL

Santo Domingo Dominican Republic On-site

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in ETL processes particularly using Java along with working knowledge of Python.

The successful candidate will support data integration transformation and processing workflows helping maintain reliable and efficient data flows across systems.

• Develop support and document ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.
• Work with Java on data integration and data transformation-related processes.
• Use Python for data processing scripting validation and related tasks.
• Support the integration of data from different sources systems files databases or APIs.
• Help identify and troubleshoot data processing data quality and transformation issues.
• Document technical processes assumptions dependencies and solutions clearly.
• Collaborate with team members on technical and data requirements.
• Communicate with clients in English when required.

• Hands-on experience or strong academic/project exposure working with ETL processes.
• Experience using Java particularly in data integration backend automation or data processing contexts.
• Working knowledge of Python for data processing scripting or automation.
• Ability to understand data transformation and integration workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to document work clearly and follow structured technical procedures.
• Conversational English sufficient to communicate clearly and effectively with clients.
• Availability to work on-site in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic.

Perfect or native-level English is not required. We are looking for someone who can understand respond and communicate effectively with clients in a professional environment.

• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Exposure to ETL or data integration tools.
• Knowledge of APIs system integrations flat files data pipelines or batch processes.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control practices.
• Academic personal or professional projects related to data engineering Java Python ETL or data integration.

Candidates may be selected for this opportunity if they can demonstrate practical technical curiosity structured problem-solving and the ability to work carefully with data flows code and documentation.
