Job Summary
AGC Biologics is a contract manufacturing organization within the biotech industry. We work with the development of biopharmaceutical production processes as well as GMP manufacturing of biopharmaceutical proteins for both clinical trials and commercial production.
AGCs Process Development Downstream department is looking for a student assistant working approximately 8 hours per week. You will become part of the Process Development department which is responsible for developing and optimizing purification processes for biological medicines.
Your primary responsibility will be preparing buffers in the addition you will occasionally support other tasks such as database updates archiving calibration of scales and laboratory-related activities. Through this role you will gain insight into what it is like to work in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
A large part of the work will be carried out independently and it is therefore important that you are comfortable taking responsibility and working in a structured manner. We place great emphasis on GDocP (Good Documentation Practice) and you should therefore be able to work methodically and precisely while documenting your work processes.
As the primary tasks take place in the laboratory we expect you to have experience working in a laboratory environment. Furthermore we expect you to be reliable flexible curious and motivated to learn.
We are looking for a student assistant who:
Is engaged proactive curious and comfortable asking questions.
Is a university student within pharmacy biotechnology or a similar field.
Has at least 2 years remaining of their studies.
Works well both independently and as part of a team.
Has a positive and open-minded approach.
Strong English skills
