As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Wearable Biosensors and Soft Bioelectronics at DTU Health Tech you will develop innovative sensing technologies that combine flexible bioelectronics biosensors and artificial intelligence to address real-world healthcare challenges. You will work in a highly interdisciplinary and international research environment collaborate with leading scientists and partners publish high-impact research and contribute to translating scientific discoveries into next-generation healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to develop next-generation wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic technologies for continuous health monitoring. You will contribute to the design fabrication and validation of innovative sensing platforms by combining biomaterials functional biomolecules nanomaterials and flexible bioelectronics. Working in a highly interdisciplinary and international research environment you will collaborate with colleagues across health technology biology materials science and data science to translate fundamental research into advanced healthcare solutions.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Design and develop wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic systems.
  • Engineer and characterize functional materials and biointerfaces for sensing applications.
  • Develop and evaluate sensing platforms using biomolecules proteins and nanomaterials.
  • Perform biochemical biophysical and electrochemical characterization of sensing systems.
  • Validate sensing technologies through in vitro and ex vivo studies.
  • Publish research in leading international journals and present your findings at scientific conferences.
  • Co-supervise MSc and PhD students and contribute to collaborative research activities.

We expect you to have:

  • A PhD in biophysics biochemistry biomedical sciences materials science chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: biosensors bioelectronics biomaterials nanomaterials or electrochemical sensing.
  • Hands-on experience in designing developing and experimentally validating functional materials or sensing platforms.
  • A strong publication record and excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation ofProfessional addition supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTUs salary structure for scientific staff: period of employment is 2.5 years.
