Job Summary

Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated scientist for our program within PROTACs for inflammatory targets.

You will join an international team working on developing technologies for treating infectious diseases. We are looking for a creative mind with excellent practical lab skills to design smart syntheses and functional studies.

Responsibilities and qualifications
The main responsibilities are to design and execute synthetic routes to PROTACs. You will join a research lab with a broad interest in chemical biology and a long-standing interest in inflammation and targeted delivery. Undergraduate and PhD research projects can be integrated in the research program and you are expected to interact with and co-supervise those projects. Additionally some teaching responsibilities can be expected.

Qualifications:

- An interest in chemical biology and a desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

-Experience with medicinal chemistry and modular designed synthetic routes is an advantage.

-A strong commitment to research.

-Enthusiasm for working with research students.

-Independence and strong communication skills.

We are looking for a candidate with an interest in chemical biology and a desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment. Experience with medicinal chemistry and modularly designed synthetic routes is considered an advantage. You must demonstrate a strong commitment to research enthusiasm for working with research students and the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills are also essential.

In the assessment of candidates consideration will be given to the relevance of their background and experience their passion for research and scientific discovery and their proficiency in written and spoken English.

As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degreein organic synthesis medicinal chemistry(or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation ofProfessional addition supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTUs salary structure for scientific staff: period of employment is 18 months in a full-time position.

Starting date is November 1 2026 or according to mutual agreement.
