The iMAT group in the Section for Materials and Surface Engineering at DTU Construct is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to join an exciting DFFfunded project focused on developing innovative multifunctional materials for energy storage and CO₂ capturing.

Responsibilities and qualifications
We seek highly motivated and creative researchers holding a PhD in chemistry materials science engineering or a related discipline with a proven track record of high-quality independent research.

Responsibilities:

• Design and carry out organic and inorganic syntheses
• Develop and optimize electrochemical experiments and measurements
• Characterize materials and compounds using standard analytical techniques
• Analyse data and document results
• Collaborate with researchers across different disciplines
• Contribute to publications reports and project deliverables

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Solid experience in organic and/or inorganic synthesis
• Practical experience with electrochemistry (e.g. cyclic voltammetry impedance spectroscopy electrode preparation)
• Strong experience in analytical techniques (e.g. NMR XPS FTIR UV-Vis XRD)
• A track record of using AI tools or data-driven methods in chemistry is considered an advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good written and spoken English

You will also actively participate in the supervision and mentoring of bachelors masters and PhD students.

You should be a capable communicator in English and have solid experience in academic writing.

As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional addition supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTUs salary structure for scientific staff: period of employment is one year.
