At Novonesis our Cyber Defence Centre plays a critical role in protecting our production data and assets by continuously monitoring both IT and OT environments. We detect assess and respond to cyber threats to ensure the resilience of our global operations.

You will join a growing highly skilled team of cybersecurity professionals working as advisors engineers analysts and architects across the enterprise. Collaboration curiosity and innovation define how we workand your ideas will be heard and implemented.

The Role & Your Impact

As an OT Cyber Security Operator you will play a key role in safeguarding our infrastructure with a primary focus on Operational Technology (OT) environments.

Your main impact will be to strengthen our cyber defenses by leading incident response improving detection capabilities and optimizing security operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading incident response efforts for OT security escalations and supporting IT incidents when needed
  • Operating as a core part of the SOC coordinating with external service providers and ensuring timely response to incidents
  • Triage and manage ServiceNow incidents and requests based on ownership
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues reported by users
  • Identify operational gaps risks and opportunities to improve security workflows
  • Support automation initiatives and SOAR playbook development
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary projects as a cybersecurity expert
  • Improve detection rules automate routine tasks and strengthen threat intelligence practices

The role is primarily operational (approx. 70%) with a strong element of development and continuous improvement (approx. 30%).

What Youll Need to Be Successful

To succeed in this role you bring both hands-on experience and a proactive mindset.

We expect you to have:

  • A Bachelors degree in automation engineering computer science or cybersecurity
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations
  • At least 2 years of experience in an OT SOC environment (or similar)
  • Experience in IT SOC and incident response
  • Solid knowledge of:
    • Incident handling and threat detection
    • Log management and security operations
    • Security monitoring in complex environments
  • Professional English proficiency

You are analytical structured and thrive in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving is key.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

The following are not required but will strengthen your profile: experience in creating custom detection rules and working with diverse log data; familiarity with IDS tools Microsoft Security Suite or Nozomi Networks; and scripting skills such as Python or PowerShell. Experience in threat hunting digital forensics or threat intelligence as well as knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and certifications like ICS515 will also be considered an advantage. Above all a strong sense of curiosity a willingness to learn and a proactive drive to continuously improve security systems are highly valued.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

We offer a hybrid and flexible working model designed to support a healthy work-life balance including flexibility in working hours. The role is primarily based in Hørsholm with the possibility to work from our office in Carlsberg Byen. Travel activity is expected to be limited typically below 10%.
