Demand Planning Analyst - Planning & Supply Chain

About the job

Planning & Supply Chain consists of two sub-departments: Demand Planning and Master Planning. We are looking for a dedicated and structured Demand Planning Analyst to join our planning team at the head office in Randers. You will become part of a newly strengthened planning team where Demand Planning and Master Planning are brought together to ensure closer alignment between demand and supply.

In this newly established position you will plan and govern demand across selected categories and markets and play a key role in shaping how Danish Crown works with forecasting and demand planning going forward with a strong focus on forecast accuracy robust forecasting processes and a reliable and transparent demand plan.

At the same time you will contribute to creating balance between demand and supply and you should expect to support or take part in tasks related to Master Planning to ensure a balanced and aligned planning process.

Your impact and key responsibilities are:

  • Be accountable for the quality and continuous improvement of demand forecasts within your scope with a clear focus on forecast accuracy and bias reduction
  • Act as the central link between Sales Category and Supply Planning to ensure a shared and transparent demand plan
  • Drive and develop forecasting processes and structured demand reviews combining data and analytical precision with commercial insights to translate market activities and promotions into a reliable demand signal
  • Be a key contributor in weekly S&OE forums to ensure alignment between short-term execution and commercial priorities
  • Own and drive the monthly demand reviews as part of the S&OP process providing a validated forecast contributing to long-term demand outlooks
  • Identify forecast risks and demand volatility early and proactively support mitigation actions to secure high delivery performance
  • Develop and maintain demand planning tools reports and KPIs (e.g. forecast accuracy bias demand volatility) to support data-driven decision-making
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of demand changes and commercial decisions on service level inventory and capacity
  • Drive continuous improvement of demand planning processes standards and best practices across markets e.g. implementation of machine learning models
  • Support planning activities across the team when needed including collaboration with Master Planning to ensure end-to-end balance between supply and demand

How you create impact and drive collaboration

We are looking for self-driven and structured demand planners who can elevate forecasting processes and forecast quality across selected categories and markets in close collaboration with Sales. Most importantly you are passionate about driving change and continuous improvement and are motivated by contributing to the development of future planning processes and ways of working.

You are confident working with data numbers and insights and you can combine analytical thinking with commercial understanding. You bring structure to complex topics and turn data into clear messages that support decision-making.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential for success in this role. You work cross-functionally and across regions collaborating closely with sales supply and planning teams to create a shared understanding of demand. You communicate clearly use data storytelling to build alignment and thrive in a complex stakeholder landscape where trust transparency and strong relationships are key.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Hold a relevant Masters degree within Supply Chain Management Logistics Economics Engineering Business Administration or a similar field
  • Be a recent graduate preferably with relevant experience from student worker positions or have limited professional experience in the field but a strong motivation to develop and build a career within Planning and Supply Chain
  • Have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable demand plans
  • Be confident working with Microsoft 365 particularly Excel. Experience with demand planning systems (e.g. SAP APO IBP or similar) is considered an advantage
  • Be proactive structured and comfortable challenging assumptions to improve forecast quality
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment with close collaboration across commercial and supply chain functions
  • Be fluent in Danish and English knowledge of other European languages is considered an advantage
