Data Manager DTU Food

Would you like to contribute to advance food inspection with such as contributing to improved automatization And are you keen on participating in the digitalization at the DTU National Food Institute at the technical university of Denmark

We are looking for a Data Manager on the reporting of zoonotic data and antimicrobial resistance data to EFSA and in the making of the Annual report on Zoonosis in Denmark and for reporting antimicrobial resistance/usage (DANMAP) and support in the different related research projects.

The job
The position includes digitalization/automatization of the research groups routine tasks and advisory to EFSA on modern data tasks are within the field of bioinformatic data-management and -visualization as well as contribution to the production of annual reports and research dissemination. Most of the work will be executed in cooperation with other members of the research group and or cross institutional with our partners.

You should enjoy a balance of data analysis and editorial work. Previous work experience with Danish National food surveillance data is a strong advantage. It is a requirement to speak and write English and Danish the latter because of the advisory work included in this position.

As Data Manager you will:

• Take part in the reporting and the modernization of the reporting of National and European surveillance data on Zoonoses
• Contribute to the reporting of the EFSA OH outbreak database
• Supporting the reporting an automatization of the antimicrobial-resistance and antimicrobial usage and the related dashboard(s)
• Contribute to the editorial work on the national and international reports and other dissemination activities in co-operation with your colleagues in the research group and in the other partner institutions
• Support and/or participate more actively in research projects

Our expectations of you
We are seeking a candidate who has a solid background in data management and bioinformatic and enjoy working with data and -operation abilities will be regarded as an advantage. Hence you are highly motivated solution-oriented and unafraid to ask questions.

You must have at least two-year masters degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year masters degree within the relevant fieldsuch as bioinformatic food engineering food science epidemiology biotechnology biology or similar.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

The position is a full-time position. Starting date is 1 August 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).
