Data engineering plays a criticalrole inourdatajourney as we integrate with ever more systems/sourcesimplement streamingandstandardizeourraw dataassetsthroughmodelling.

Customerengagementdata is scatteredacrossa multitude of different systems and towork withcustomerdata andprocessesat scalewehavebuiltamoderncloud nativefoundation based ona combination ofopensourceand proprietarysoftware to enableeasy purpose-driven and compliant access to datafrom those systems.

In your role as our new Data Engineer you willworkwithcutting-edgetools and technologieson building andmaintainingdata pipelinesfortheCustomer Excellencedomain sourcesand applicationsonthe will be given responsibility fortaskssuch as:

• Deconstructand understand data from source systemsthrough an end-to-end ETL process
• Designdevelopment and maintenance of data pipelinesas well asCI/CD processesfor data workflows and infrastructure
• Development of foundationalapplicationcomponents
• Coordinateefforts of the extended team of both in-house and external developers andfollowupontechnical/infrastructure changes with our Platform team
• Ensure code qualityacross allrelevantapplicationsincluding compliance withestablishedDevOps principles
• Coordinateingestionofraw data fromnewstreamingbatchand API-based data sources
• Development ofAI and ML components forinternal usecases
• Ensure data quality integrity and governance
• Work on custom integrations to and fromboth 1stand3rdparty systems

Asa data engineer at Tryg you will mainly beworking withtechnologies such asSQLMesh DatabricksJava Python Kafka KubernetesDockerRedisGitLabCI/CD REST APIs and we expect you to be familiar with at least some ofthem.

About you Curious proactive and passionate about data engineering

To be successful in the job we expect you to have a relevant education insoftware engineering data engineeringdata science datamanagement or similar.

Our data engineering tech stack is heavily focused aroundDatabricksKafka andbig data processing. It is a definite advantage if you candemonstrateexperience from that area but experience as a software engineeror data scientistgenuinecuriosityand a desire to invest in your own development can compensate for a lack ofhands-onexperience. If you have only worked with JavaorPythondevelopment and batchprocessing butwant to expand your skillset with streaming wedstill love to hear from you!
