About The Job

As Bid / Proposal Engineer you will support the preparation and coordination of quotations and bid activities for system sales projects within EVS and W&IW Working closely with the Bid Manager you will help ensure that technical solutions quotation packages clarifications and bid deliverables are prepared with high quality and according to customer requirements. . The role combines technical understanding commercial awareness and project coordination while supporting global system sales activities in close collaboration with Sales Companies Global Sales and Global Technology teams at Alfa Laval. You will work closely with and support the Bid Manager in driving the bid process and ensuring high-quality bid execution.

• Support preparation and coordination of quotation packages (Prepare and coordinate quotation packages in collaboration with the Bid Manager) for system sales projects.

• Coordinate technical input and documentation across engineering sourcing sales and other stakeholders Support development of optimized technical and commercial system solutions together with Design Engineers and quotation teams.

• Prepare and maintain clarification and deviation lists.

• Review technical descriptions quotation documentation and bid deliverables

• Support preparation of PSP documentation and risk assessments. .

• Ensure bid deliverables are completed on time within scope and aligned with quality standards.

• Support handover from bid phase to project execution.

• Support continuous improvement of tools processes and costing methods within the bid function.

• Take ownership of defined parts of the bid process including cost preparation and documentation

At Alfa Laval we embrace a hybrid work model providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Søborg office with an expected travel commitment of approximately 10 20 days per year.

What You Know

• Educational background as . Mechanical Process Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience within proposal engineering bid coordination project engineering technical sales support or similar technical-commercial roles. Background in system sales technical quotations or industrial system solutions is an advantage.

• Experience from process industries or industrial systems integration.

• Strong understanding of technical solution development and project execution.

• Structured and detail-oriented approach to documentation and quotation activities.

• Experience working with technical documentation costing tools ERP/CRM systems or quotation tools is an advantage.

• Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments

You are structured proactive and solution-oriented with a strong ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders in parallel. You enjoy working in the intersection between engineering sales and commercial support and you are motivated by helping create high-quality technical solutions and quotation packages.

You are a collaborative team player who builds trust across functions and supports progress through clear communication and follow-up. You have a strong sense of ownership for your tasks pay attention to details and can maintain overview in dynamic bid environments. At the same time you are commercially aware and understand the importance of supporting competitive and professional system offerings to customers globally.
