Arup is growing its Aviation business in Denmark and across the Nordic region.
We are looking for an experienced Aviation Project Leader to join our Copenhagen office and help lead the delivery of major airport and aviation infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of airports terminals airside infrastructure and airport operations working with clients and multidisciplinary teams in Denmark and internationally.
As a trusted advisor to clients and project teams you will help develop opportunities lead project delivery and build high-performing teams that bring together specialists from across Arups global Aviation network.

The Opportunity
As an Aviation Project Leader you will lead and support the delivery of complex aviation programmes and projects from planning and concept development through design and implementation.
You will work closely with airport owners operators designers and contractors coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project outcomes in technically challenging and operationally sensitive environments.
You could find yourself working on projects involving:
Airport masterplanning and expansion programmes
Passenger terminals and landside facilities
Airfield infrastructure including runways taxiways and aprons
Airport operational planning and design management
Major infrastructure programmes delivered in live operational environments
As an Aviation Project Leader at Arup you will:
Lead multidisciplinary aviation projects and programmes
Act as Project Leader and/or Design Manager on complex assignments
Develop project delivery strategies and execution plans
Build structure and lead high-performing project teams
Coordinate specialists across multiple disciplines and geographies
Act as a trusted advisor to airport clients and key stakeholders
Support business development bidding and client engagement activities
Contribute to the growth of Arups Aviation business in Denmark and the Nordic region and also support the EIMEA region Aviation business teams.
Mentor and develop junior team members
Promote excellence in project delivery safety quality and collaboration

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional who combines strong leadership skills with a deep understanding of project and design delivery within the aviation sector.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience
Experience leading complex aviation projects and multidisciplinary teams
Proven track record as a Project Leader Design Manager Programme Manager or similar leadership role
Experience working with airport owners operators designers or contractors
Strong understanding of airport planning terminal projects airside projects or aviation infrastructure delivery
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to build motivate and lead diverse project teams
Degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline
Professional fluency in both Danish and English
