Your area of work:

Group Credit Managements core objective is to ensure that all business activities are conducted within a prudent credit risk framework aligned with the banks risk appetite and fully compliant with regulatory and supervisory requirements.

In this role you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of counterparties and collateral issuersincluding financial institutions corporates and sovereignsacross both mature and emerging markets. You will provide independent credit recommendations to management deliver timely credit analysis and advisory support to business areas and respond effectively to evolving credit information needs.

Additionally you will analyze clients credit requirements and structure exposures to optimize settlement efficiency while ensuring that all credit risk borne by Clearstream remains strictly in line with the banks credit policies underwriting standards and regulatory expectations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit research and market intelligence in order to acquire sufficient knowledge of the counterparts under your responsibility
  • Assess customers credit needs based on historical data and available collateral
  • Prepare annual credit reviews for counterparts and ad-hoc credit assessment
  • Recommend acceptance of new clients and credit limits
  • Evaluate the criteria taken into account for collateral eligibility and search for improvements in the criteria used and the quality of data
  • Contribute to the review upgrade and development of credit policies procedures and guidelines
  • Work on the maintenance design testing and implementation of new and existing credit tools
  • Review and assess the impact on the credit business of new regulations and guidelines issued by relevant authorities
  • Participate in credit projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Offer guidance and advice to other team members

Your profile:

  • University degree in Business Accountancy or Banking & Finance & Economics related fields
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Previous leadership experience is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills supported by prior experience in credit analysis of banks and other financial institutions
  • Sound knowledge of different financial instruments
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in an international environment; ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Credibility and drive to present senior management with robust and accurate credit recommendations
  • Highly motivated and willing to assume ad-hoc assignments
  • Excellent command of English. Knowledge of any other language is considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate across a number of functions and business areas
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
