The development center in Brno was founded in 2017. The activity of this center is focused on the development of fuse boxes terminals connectors and other components for cable harnesses in cars. There are currently 44 employees most of whom are Product Designers. Another part of the employees are Program managers and representatives from the commercial and financial departments. The development center offers complete services in the development and implementation of products into production. Projects are implemented here from the initial design of products based on customer requirements through the creation of drawing documentation simulation quality analysis prototype testing and subsequent transfer to series production.
Job Description
As an R&D Engineering Project Leader you drive the development of automotive components within the E-systems division focusing on wire harnesses and fuse boxes. You lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust cost-effective designs on time while ensuring alignment with OEM requirements.
Lead the engineering project team and act as the main technical authority across all development phases
Manage daily engineering activities and proactively identify assess and mitigate project risks
Coordinate with OEM clients (e.g. Volvo BMW JLR) on technical specifications and engineering changes
Drive the development of robust accurate and cost-effective product designs
Plan track and control engineering timelines and laboratory deliverables
Manage project engineering budgets forecasts and expenses
Evaluate and clarify technological validation and testing requirements
Participate in resource planning capacity management and project strategy discussions
Responsibilities
3 years of experience in automotive project or program management
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Materials Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience working in the automotive industry ideally within product development
Proven experience leading teams in an international matrix organization
Strong English communication skills both written and verbal
