Your area of work:
For our Prague office we are looking for a Client Facing Functional Analyst to join our Connectivity this role you will act as a key interface between business stakeholders and development teams supporting the delivery and evolution of client-facing connectivity services in a financial market infrastructure environment.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and analytical professional who can communicate effectively in English understand business needs and translate them into clear specifications user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience in functional analysis within the financial sector would be an advantage.
Your responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Investigate and document existing system behaviour particularly where documentation is limited to support migration and solution design.
- Act as the bridge between business and development teams to ensure a common understanding of requirements scope and expected outcomes.
- Participate in and coordinate meetings workshops and refinement sessions with business development and testing stakeholders.
- Write execute and maintain functional acceptance test scenarios ensuring they are precise testable and traceable to the requirements and that they are executed in a timely manner.
- Support functional testing by investigating defects clarifying expected behaviour and contributing to issue resolution across test environments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of functional analysis practices documentation quality and team knowledge sharing.
Your profile:
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in software specification and testing in the financial services or securities industry.
- Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into structured functional documentation user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to take ownership of functional analysis activities from initial requirement discussion through to testing support and delivery.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Previous experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to challenge clarify and structure complex requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Team player with a positive proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects or priorities in parallel.
- Flexible autonomous open-minded and eager to learn.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
Would be an advantage:
- Knowledge of client connectivity interfaces or message flows.
- Previous experience working with SWIFT messages including MT or MX standards
